The day I refused the "advances" of my old friend and neighbor in Cotati is a day she began planning her revenge to get even we me. It's unfortunate that Joan Simon would resort to trying to get even with me simply because she's not my cup of tea. But this sort of thing has been going on for centuries, and the community needs to know how evil and despicable this particular woman has become. I tried to rise above the filth this woman spews, but my supporters have advised me it's time to set the record straight and expose this woman for who and what she is once and for all...
Years ago, Joan would shower me with praise and admiration, as I did her. I have a history of email exchanges with Joan from years past. She actually supported my run for city council in 2004 and had me over to her house until the situation simply became uncomfortable for me. When she started showing up at my doorstep, unannounced, wearing too much makeup and too much perfume for my comfort, I began to back away from this woman like a gentleman. Most women would respect that from a man and move on, but not Joan Simon. Joan has now embarked on a personal vendetta to get even. Joan is way too slick to ever directly threaten to get even with her adversaries. However, her rantings about me in the press, her vocal crusades in the public parks to run me out of public office, and her going door to door in Cotati spewing propaganda is now her main focus in life. It's sad to see someone self-destruct and embarrass the city and the community to quench a personal thirst for revenge. Joan doesn't care about Cotati and everybody knows it.
Here are the facts:
The City of Cotati mailed me all my past city council paychecks (that I refused to pick up and cash) to my home in early 2010. These paychecks were for my entire service on the City Council for 2009. Part of that money went to pay a fraction of the unpaid legal costs incurred doing legal research that was presented before the City Council to aid them in their deliberations. The rest of that money went to local charity which was mentioned in a recent newspaper article. The charities have thanked me. The City of Cotati has not ! Unfortunately, Joan Simon chooses to twist the facts to damage my good reputation.
Joan has recently made false charges against me before the City Council that I am guilty of disturbing the peace in downtown on Tuesday, July 13th in Cotati when actually I was over a hundred miles away attending another city council meeting as part of my ongoing education. I have been asked by local citizens to file formal charges against Joan for falsely reporting a crime and lying to the authorities. I am weighing my options at this time on how to handle this matter.
In the meantime, Joan needs to get over her personal animosities and stick to the issues facing Cotati before she does more harm.

I read her letter to the PD of July 22, 2010, and found it to be simultaneously laughable and pathetic.
I plan to ask her -- and the city -- publicly, for the second time, how much she and her recall moonies have reimbursed the City of Cotati towards the $20,000+ this specious recall cost the city.
I understand that it's tempting to file a complaint, but before you spend more hard-earned money on attorneys, it might be more productive to send her 100 Xanax, or a large wool sock to insert in the loud place immediately south of her nose.

ReplyDeleteIt's hard to tell whether this woman dropped too much acid at Woodstock, had too many abortions in her screwed up life, or inhaled too much toxic fumes burning her bra in San Francisco in the 1960s. But obviously, something has affected her mental health and she needs intervention. Why some women, well past menopause, are so obsessed with being passed over for younger women just kills me. I think your girlfriend is an awesome, classy lady. Your two little dogs are precious. The way you walk downtown in Cotati with those little dogs talking to everyone is why you are the man. George, you have a set a new standard for Cotati leadership. You have my vote of confidence. Joan is her own worst enemy.

After one of her presentations to the city council when the recall was in progress, I walked up to her and told her right to her face that this whole thing was someday going to come back at her because spewing this much venom in vendetta is not healthy. She backed off from me noticably. Revenge is a dish best served cold the saying goes. Perhaps now the crows will start to roost.

You are going to have to fight these evil, despicable people who have the audacity to come down and berate you for five minutes at a council meeting, say anything they damn want knowing full well all you can do is sit there at take it. Joan Simon is a messy woman. She has lied about her credentials and experience and her business practices are HIGHLY questionable. I wonder how many business people she has duped over the years with her fake consulting business. Regarding my involvement with her, I seriously considered suing her but thought it best to cut ties all together before I was tempted to explode on her. She rushes to judgement and is manipulative beyond measure.

She has her marching orders from the party and on a mission to destroy anyone who dares to challenge the status quo in Cotati. She's out walking door to door as we speak spreading lies about George and anyone else who has exposed her for who and what she is. Ignorance is bliss. People, wake up and stop supporting these liars and stop acting so silly displaying your ignorance and bias.

Can't say I find the "burning bras" or "had too many abortions" comments to be entertaining or intelligent, but this is to bee expected from rabid Conservatives (sound logic and reasoning seem to go out the window).
ReplyDeleteNow that being said, carrying out personal vendettas in a public way that can harm a person's reputation in any way is by definition unethical and is deplorable behavior. There are unethical Conservatives (to be sure), and people who are unethical Liberals. Let's just be more balanced here, shall we?
No, many of the comments here were from a liberal contingency. We tried to give liberals free space to print their views and have them delivered to every house and business in Cotati, but there were just too few takers. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink. For my attempt to be more balanced you have overlooked, see www.thecotatiindependent.com. My professors who burned their bras were quite proud of it actually, But I attended a liberal university.
